Emergency AC Replacement at the William Root House

The air conditioning system at the William Root House has unexpectedly failed. Modern climate control isn't just about keeping our visitors, volunteers, and students comfortable during tours—it is vital to preserving our collection. Uncontrolled heat and humidity can warp historic woodwork, damage delicate textiles, and degrade irreplaceable 19th-century artifacts.

To protect these treasures, Cobb Landmarks immediately redirected operating funds to replace the system. However, this emergency expense is not something our budget was prepared to absorb. We are turning to our wonderful community to help us raise $14,000 to cover the replacement and installation costs.
